Connect Zoom to your MeetingPulse meeting so attendees can watch and listen to the presentation while participating in polls, Q&A, surveys, and other MeetingPulse activities, all in the same browser window.
Attendees can access both experiences through your MeetingPulse link, such as meet.ps/my_meeting.
Enable the integration
Follow these steps in your MeetingPulse meeting:
Expand Advanced features in the left-hand menu.
Turn on the Video module.
Select Video from the left-hand menu to open its settings.
Enable Third-Party Video.
Select Zoom as the video provider.
Enter your Zoom meeting ID.
Enter the meeting ID as numbers only, without spaces or dashes.

7. If the Zoom meeting requires a passcode, enter it in the Password field.
8. Changes will be saved automatically.
Your attendees can now open the MeetingPulse attendee link and join the Zoom meeting from within MeetingPulse.
Select a scheduled Zoom meeting or webinar
If you have connected your Zoom account to MeetingPulse, you may be able to select a scheduled meeting or webinar instead of entering its ID manually.
From your MeetingPulse dashboard, expand Integrations in the left-hand menu and select Zoom.
Follow the link to the MeetingPulse listing in the Zoom App Marketplace.
Select Sign in to Add. If you are not already logged in to Zoom, sign in to your Zoom account first.
Once signed in, open the dropdown beside Add for Others and select Add for Myself.
5. Review the permissions and authorize the connection if prompted
Once you've authorized the integration, your Zoom account will be linked inside MeetingPulse. You only need to connect your Zoom account once.
To verify, go to your settings page inside MeetingPulse, you'll see Zoom is already linked with your account.
You will now be able to look through your scheduled Zoom meetings and select one from your MeetingPulse.
Return to your MeetingPulse meeting and select Link with a scheduled Zoom meeting or Webinar.
Choose your scheduled Zoom session and select Link meeting.
Your Zoom meeting is now linked to your MeetingPulse Meeting.
Remember you can also use the meeting ID method above without connecting your Zoom account.
Zoom Integration Best Practices:
Recommendations for presenters
Start and manage the Zoom meeting from the Zoom desktop application.
For the best experience, keep the Zoom application and the MeetingPulse admin view open side by side. This allows the presenter or administrator to manage the presentation in Zoom while controlling polls, Q&A, and other interactive features in MeetingPulse.
Before the event, test the complete attendee experience using the same Zoom meeting ID, passcode, browser, and MeetingPulse link you plan to use during the live session.
Recommended browsers for attendees
For the best video and audio experience, attendees should use the latest version of:
Google Chrome
Microsoft Edge
Here's a list of the best-supported browsers from Zoom.
Attendees should use a regular browser window rather than an Incognito or private browsing window.
Allow attendees to join without signing in to Zoom
Some Zoom accounts are configured to require attendees to sign in before joining from a web browser. When this setting is enabled, attendees may be unable to join the Zoom meeting from within MeetingPulse unless they have signed in to Zoom.
To allow attendees to join without a Zoom account:
Sign in to the Zoom web portal.
Select Settings from the left-hand navigation menu.
Open the Meeting tab.
Scroll to the Security section.
Find Only authenticated meeting participants and webinar attendees can join meetings and webinars.
Turn the setting off.
Attendees can now join the Zoom meeting from within MeetingPulse without signing in to Zoom first.
Note: If the setting is grayed out or cannot be changed, it may be locked at the Zoom group or account level. Contact your organization’s Zoom administrator for assistance. Zoom documents the account, group, and user-level options in its authentication settings guide
Protect access to your meeting
MeetingPulse offers a few options for controlling access: a shared meeting password, individual attendee access codes, or email verification.
Require a meeting password
All attendees use the same password to enter the meeting.
Open your MeetingPulse meeting.
Select Meeting from the top navigation.
Click Settings.
Open Access and Identity.
Select Meeting password.
Enter the password attendees will use.
Save your changes.
Require individual access codes
Each attendee receives a unique code. Only attendees on your list can access the meeting.
Go to Meeting > Settings.
Open Access and Identity.
Select Individual attendee codes.
Open the Attendees tab.
Add attendees by uploading a CSV file or entering their email addresses directly.
You can send invitations directly from MeetingPulse or through your own external communication platform/email. For complete setup instructions, see How do individual attendee codes work?
Require email verification
Email verification confirms an attendee’s identity using their email address. Attendees must have access to the email address they enter in registration to complete the verification process. This option verifies attendees without requiring individual access codes.
Go to Meeting > Settings.
Open Access and Identity.
Select Email verification.
Save your changes.
Attendees should use the same browser and device after requesting the verification email.
Note: Zoom passcodes and MeetingPulse access modes serve different purposes. The Zoom passcode connects MeetingPulse to the embedded Zoom meeting, while MeetingPulse access modes control who can enter the MeetingPulse experience.
Troubleshooting Zoom Video
Zoom does not load inside MeetingPulse
First, confirm that:
The Zoom meeting has been started by the host.
The correct meeting ID is entered in MeetingPulse.
The meeting ID does not contain spaces or dashes.
The Zoom passcode entered in MeetingPulse is correct.
The attendee is using the latest version of Chrome or Edge.
Zoom does not require web attendees to sign in.
Check re-captcha
Zoom’s CAPTCHA may require third-party cookies. If the CAPTCHA does not load or cannot be completed:
Enable third-party cookies in the browser.
Refresh the MeetingPulse page.
Try joining the meeting again.
In Safari, attendees may also need to turn off Prevent cross-site tracking temporarily. More detailed information here.
“Joining Meeting Timeout” error
This error may appear when:
The Zoom host has not started the meeting.
Several unsuccessful join attempts have occurred.
The browser has stored outdated Zoom session information.
The Zoom account is affected by the embedded-browser restriction.
Confirm that the Zoom meeting is running, then refresh the page and try again. If the error continues, clear the browser’s cache and cookies or test in the latest version of Chrome or Edge.
